The result multiplies daily demand by the selected dry period and adds the reserve. It is a screening value, not a full water-balance model.
What it does not do
It does not model daily rainfall, tank overflow, seasonal demand, first flush, pump dead storage or local minimum and maximum tank requirements. Larger projects should use a rainfall time series and professional design.
